TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite – Accreditation is recognized around the world as a sign of quality and good services and achieving accreditation is reassuring for companies and it gives their products and services greater credibility in the market. The accreditation world means national and international recognition of all testing results produced by the laboratory and that the laboratory has established quality management system that ensures quality testing and analysis.
In the Philippines, most of the testing laboratories were subjected to accreditation and certification of different certifying body to ensure compliances on the standards. The Philippine Accreditation Bureau or PAB is mandated to accredit laboratories that complied with ISO/IEC17025:2005 general requirements.
For Cavite Water and Wastewater Testing and Laboratory or CWWTL of DOST Cavite, an external audit was conducted on May 17-18, 2018 by DTI-PAB through which the established CWWTL’s ISO 17025-based Quality Management System (QMS) was validated. Also, the two technical staff of DOST-Cavite namely Mesdames Verjo Angelie C. Maristela, a registered Chemist, and Anna Marie S. Daigan, were certified as competent to sign testing certificates /results. After the two-day reassessment, CWWTL’s was able to successfully pass the management and technical requirements of PNS ISO/IEC 17025:2005. The CWWTL reassessment showed the compliances of the laboratory to the requirements of the standards and the PAB conditions for laboratory accreditation in the field of water and wastewater testing and analysis. CWWTL was able to show its commitment to continuously maintain its technical competence to better serve its customer and improve laboratory management.
With this renewal of accreditation, CWWTL confirms its purpose to provide a quality and good services and achieving Accreditation is a reassurance that valid and precise results are provided to its customers.
