Various Local Government Units (LGUs) and National Government Agencies (NGAs), including DOST Provincial Science and Technology Office in Quezon (DOST-Quezon), have congregated in the Provincial Capitol Building of Quezon last March 1 to 3 for “TULAY SA PROGRESO: Bridging NG-LGU Partnership Towards a Healthy and Prosperous Province of Quezon”, headed by the Office of the Governor of Quezon Province.

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) - CALABARZON, represented by DOST Provincial Science and Technology Office in Quezon (DOST-Quezon), with Batangas State University (BatStateU) and Quezon Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office installed a Solar Isotropic Generator of Acoustic Waves (SIGAW) at Lopez, Quezon last February 23, 2023.

DOST Sec. Renato U. Solidum expressed gratitude to Senator Francis Tolentino for inviting him to the launching of the “Townhall Meeting on Public Policy” organized by KLABARZON, a non-profit humanitarian organization, held at Kawit, Cavite today, February 23, 2023, as this provides a mechanism for national and local leaders to convene and collaborate.
He said that this is vital for promoting regional development and the socio-economic development of the country.
DOST, Odyssey Foundation Inc., LGU San Nicolas launch e-Nutribun Feeding Program for children

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-Batangas, Odyssey Foundation Inc., and Local Government Unit (LGU) of San Nicolas, Batangas launched the e-Nutribun Feeding Program for undernourished children in the municipality last Feb. 28.
A total of 100 ‘undernourished’ children from the Municipality of San Nicolas, Batangas were identified as beneficiaries of the feeding program, which will last for four months, from March to June of this year.
Mariposa MPC receives technology training on dishwashing liquid production

Mariposa Multipurpose Cooperative (MPC) in Balete, Batangas received a training on dishwashing liquid production from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) - Batangas as a technology support intervention in their pursuit to venture to this kind of business, held at the cooperative’s multipurpose hall, Brgy. Magapi, Balete, Batangas, last February 16.
Since its inception, the cooperative has been involved in the retail sale of rice and agricultural supplies, with their farmer members as their main clients. However, this business of the cooperative was put on hold as a result of the COVID-19 epidemic and the Taal Volcano eruption. As a recovery mechanism, the cooperative developed business plans to stay afloat in these challenging times. Part of this plan is the venture into dishwashing liquid production, which they consider to have good market potential given the prevailing household demand.
