Sa layong magkaroon ng mahalagang kontribusyon sa pagpapalawig ng mga epektibong polisiya at programa sa Research and Development (R&D) sa bansa, hinihikayat ng Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-CALABARZON ang mga Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), National Government Agencies (NGAs), at Private Non-Profit Institutions (NPIs) na makiisa sa isinasagawang Research and Development Survey ng ahensiya.
Sa pambungad na mensahe ni Regional Director Emelita P. Bagsit, hinikayat niya ang mga dumalong private at public HEIs, NPIs at maging ilang NGAs na dumalo sa “Orientation on the 2021-2022 Survey on Research and Development (R&D) Expenditures and Human Resources in Government Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and Private Non-Profit Institutions (NPIs)” na mag-sumite ng mga datos na kinakailangan para rito.

Marvon Drying Services, a company known for drying herbal plants based in Brgy. Poblacion 2, Laurel, Batangas, underwent a training on Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) facilitated by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-Batangas held at the company’s production plant, Brgy. Poblacion 2, Laurel, Batangas, last Feb. 17.
The training aimed to capacitate the company’s production workers on HACCP by ensuring that food safety is addressed through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement, and handling to manufacturing, distribution, and consumption of the finished product.human and financial resources and efforts, and realize the full potential and benefits of science, technology and innovation (STI).
Municipalities from 2nd District of Batangas undergo WACS training

Municipalities of Lobo, Mabini, San Luis, San Pascual, and Tingloy, all from the 2nd District of Batangas, underwent a training on conducting Waste Analysis and Characterization Study (WACS) held at Brgy. Bagalangit, Mabini, Batangas, Feb. 8-9.
The Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-Batangas and the DOST Industrial Technology Development Institute (DOST-ITDI) conducted the two-day training in response to the call for science and technology-based intervention from the Office of Congresswoman Gerville “Jinky Bitrics” Luistro, 2nd District of Batangas Representative, to improve solid waste management in the second district.

DOST-CALABARZON, LSPU-LB launch AI system to boost lakewater monitoring in Laguna

Taking off from the last deployment of the Sensing Environmental Parameters through Telemetry (SENTRY) project last 2015, DOST-CALABARZON has partnered with the Laguna State Polytechnic University of Los Baños (LSPU-LB) to launch a leveled up version of this system now called the Enhanced Sensing Environmental Parameters through Telemetry (e-SENTRY). The launch of the e-SENTRY was conducted last 30 January 2023 at the Alligator Lake in Barangay Tadlac, Los Baños, Laguna.
