Pili, DOST-PCIEERD’s Research Information and Technology Transfer Division Chief.
Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo, STCIERD Consortium Chair and Batangas State University President opened the program with high hopes and regard for the timeliness of this event. “I think that this orientation will open doors of opportunities for our researchers.”, Dr. Ronquillo said in his welcoming remarks. Emphasizing the significance of the orientation, he likewise stressed that it is beneficial for STCIERD researchers to expand their options and be guided on what’s in store for them in terms of DOST funding and assistance.
Mr. Pili started his discussion with a rudimentary walkthrough of the DOST-PCIEERD’s mandate and sectoral coverage. Together with Ms. Mary Joy A. Zabala, their team’s discussions encompassed an in-depth discussion on the Human Resource and Institution Development Program, Infrastructure Development Program, Visiting Expert Program, Research Attachment, and Facility and Laboratory Access Grant among others. Furthermore, Mr. Pili presented actual data and statistics on the assistance that DOST-PCIERRD has been rendering to date. Guide steps in registration were also imparted by the team.
