Mushrooms are widely known for their great taste and amazing health benefits which make it a valuable product and source of income for some organizations.

Last 2-3 June 2022, the Provincial S&T Center of Rizal conducted a two-day Skills Training on Mushroom Flour Processing for the Niogan Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Multi-Purpose Cooperative (NARBSMPC) and Mahabang Parang Angono CLOA Holders Farmers Assn., Inc. (MPACHFAI). The event was conducted online via zoom and on-site at the Shared Service Facility (SSF) for Mushroom Production and processing in Brgy. Niogan, Pililla, Rizal.

Through the expertise of the resource speaker Ms. Monica Manalo, Science Research Specialist I, from the Food Processing Division of the DOST- Industrial Technology Development Institute (DOST-ITDI), the training provided knowledge and skills on the proper and safe techniques in mushroom flour processing using their LPG air dryer and pulverizer.

NARBSMPC and MPACHFAI also went through previous technology trainings on mushroom chicharon, mushroom pattie and mushroom polvoron by DOST-PCARRD and mushroom powder/flour. The said organizations are convergence-assisted organizations of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in the province of Rizal.
