Dubbed as Science and Technology Academic Research-based Openly Operated Kiosks or STARBOOKS, it is a digital library developed by the DOST – Science and Technology Information Institute (DOST-STII) which provides various S&T educational and learning materials.

As part of the promotion on the use of Carrageenan Plant Growth Promoter (CPGP), the Department of Science and Technology – CALABARZON (DOST-CALABARZON) with the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office IV-A (DA RFO IV-A), DOST-Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD), DOST-Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (DOST-PNRI), and University of the Philippines Los Baños – National Crop Protection Center (UPLB-NCPC) held a Farmers’ Field Day for the farmers from Tanay, Pililla, and Jalajala last November 16 at DA-Rizal Agricultural Research and Experiment Station (DA-RARES), Brgy. Cuyambay, Tanay, Rizal.

This science festival is one of the major programs of the foundation to celebrate with the DOST’s National Science and Technology Week (NSTW).
