TRECE MARTIRES City, Cavite – Last September 26, the City of Bacoor celebrated the completion of the new Tahong-based Food Processing Center with a blessing by Rev Fr. Erick Santos, Chaplain of Bacoor City.

The newly Renovated Multi-Purpose Building located beside the Bacoor Seafood Terminal, Barangay Sineguelasan, City of Bacoor was launched to house the Tahong-based Food Processing Center. The center will be the key for the mass production of Tahong-based food products. Through the various equipment and machineries provided by the Department of Science and Technology, this center envisions to generate more jobs and provide more business opportunities for Bacooreños.


The event started with a short program followed by the ribbon cutting led by Dr. Alexander R. Madrigal, Regional Director of DOST-CALABARZON and Honorable Lani Mercado-Revilla, City Mayor of Bacoor. The DOST-Assisted Food Carts were also awarded to various beneficiaries in Bacoor City.

The occasion was graced by different government officials of Bacoor City like, Hon Miguel Bautista, City Councilor and Chair of the Committee on Social Services, Hon. Rowena Bautista-Mendiola, City Councilor and Chair of the Committee on Science and Technology, Ms. Carmelita Fabian-Gawaran, Center Manager of the Bacoor Negosyo Center and Head of the Livelihood Office and Engr. Raul D. Castañeda, Provincial Director of DOST-Cavite, with the officials and staff of City of Bacoor and Processing Center.
