The Department of Science and Technology – CALABARZON (DOST-CALABARZON) conducted the 1st Exit Conference for Graduating DOST Scholars last April 14 at Ma. Makiling Ballroom, Splash Mountain Resort, Los Baños, Laguna. A total of 305 participants attended the event from different state colleges and universities in CALABARZON.

Members of Kababaihan (Municipal Women Coordinating Council) in Brgy. Bignay and Lagadlarin, Lobo, Batangas participated in socio-economic development as they get involved in the Training on Coconut-based Products Processing conducted by DOST Batangas in partnership with Municipal Tourism Office of LGU-Lobo at Ginga Farm, Brgy. Sawang, Lobo, Batangas, April 5-6.

CALABARZON once again takes pride as 174 students were recognized in the annual Youth Excellence in Science (YES) Awards last March 12 at RFSQAC Multipurpose Hall, DOST-CALABARZON Regional Office, Los Baños, Laguna.

To  raise the awareness and capacitate the staff of DOST CALABARZON on what to do in case of calamity, a fire and earthquake drill was conducted on March 22, 2018. The Bureau of Fire Protection Los Baños (BFP-LB) facilitated the drill and seminar.

New taste, texture, and flavor was incorporated into Paharang West Multipurpose Cooperative’s (PWMPC) peanut butter through the conduct of training on peanut butter making by DOST Batangas with experts from University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) College of Agriculture and Food Science (CAFS) Institute of Food Science and Technology (IFST) held at Paharang West, Batangas City, March 07.
