IRUKAN, STA. TERESITA – Teresita’s Sukang Irok upgraded from the traditional process to industrialized fermentation as its producer, the members of Irukan Sustainable Livelihood Program Association (SLPA) underwent a training on Arengga (Irok) Vinegar Making using the Industrial Technology Development Institute (ITDI)-developed Acetator Kit conducted by DOST Batangas in partnership with Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) last March 8-10.

To secure safety of their produced products, educate its workers, and strengthen its food-safety implementation, RGK Food Products underwent a Seminar-Workshop on current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) conducted by DOST Batangas at Padre Garcia Multipurpose Cooperative Inc.’s Function Room, Padre Garcia, Batangas on March 12.

In celebration of the International Women’s Day, the Department of Science and Technology – CALABARZON (DOST-CALABARZON) joined the Walk for a Cause Parade organized by the Local Government Unit – Los Baños last March 8 from Olivarez Plaza to Los Baños Municipal Hall. The parade was participated by the agencies in Los Baños Science Community, barangays in Los Baños, members of the 4Ps, and public and private schools in Los Baños.

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite - A total of 24 new scholars with their parents and guardians attended the Orientation Seminar and Contract Signing of DOST Junior Level Science Scholarship (JLSS) Program under the RA 7687 (S&T Scholarship Act of 1994), RA 10612 (Fast-Tracked S&T Scholarship Act of 2013), and the RA 2067 (Merit Scholarship Program) which was held last March 6, 2018 at SM Rolle Hall, Cavite State University Indang, Cavite.

Before letting the new scholars sign the contract, they were briefed about the DOST scholarship details and contract provisions such as their  duties, responsibilities, and privileges as scholars. Part of their duties is to practice Filipino patriotism and contribute in achieving knowledge creation and economic productivity in the country.
