The Department of Science and Technology – CALABARZON (DOST-CALABARZON), through its Provincial Science and Technology Center in Cavite (DOST-PSTC Cavite), led a Technology Opportunity Seminar (TechOpS) for the workers of Sustiguer Mushroom Farm in Salawag, Dasmariñas City, Cavite last June 11, 2021. The activity centered on equipping the mushroom farmer-workers of Sustiguer with knowledge and training on sustainable livelihood through mushroom processing. Mushroom scientist Bro. Geronimo Labao was invited to facilitate the TechOpS.
In his welcome remarks, Mr. Eduard Sustiguer of the said Mushroom Farm thanked the participants for attending the TechOps and the organizers for conducting the event. He likewise expressed his interest for similar trainings and continuous partnership with the agency. These trainings and other entry points for collaboration were reiterated by Mr. Matthew Henry Camitan of the DOST-PSTC Cavite. He elaborated programs and activities that the Sustiguer are eligible to apply for, including the Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP).
