Through innovative media, DOST-National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) in coordination with DOST-CALABARZON and other partner agencies brought us the first hybrid Regional Basic Research Caravan (RBRC) in Region IV-A which happened last May 10, 2022 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City with simultaneous webcast via Zoom and Facebook.

On May 11, 2022, about 45 member agencies, SUCs, and HEIs of the Southern Tagalog Consortium for Industry and Energy R&D (STCIERD) underwent an orientation on DOST-Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD) funding opportunities with Mr. Ruel A. Cassava, one of the main staples of the Filipino fare, is a very versatile crop and can be made into a variety of products. A source of income for most farmers in upland Tanay, a sizeable harvest will give growers a welcome increase in earnings.

To enhance the knowledge and skills of the farmers in cassava production, the Department of Science and Technology in the partnership of Department of Agrarian Reform-Rizal Province conducted a three-day training on cassava production with Organization of Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Farmers of Inalsan, Inc. (OARBFII) from 4-6, May 2022.
